I’m Fiorella, a Peruvian travel creator, author and digital marketing professional. I have travelled to more than 70 countries and lived in places including Peru, Bolivia, Italy, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Malaysia and the Netherlands. Every destination has taught me something about culture, adaptation and the many different ways people experience life.
Chica on the Road was created in 2015 to share those experiences and inspire others to discover the world with curiosity.
Who is Chica on the Road?
Of course, I get excited every time I visit a new country, but travelling has never been just about adding another place to a list. What I remember most are the little moments: trying a dish for the first time, learning a few words in a new language, getting lost, meeting someone unexpectedly or slowly starting to feel at home in a place that once felt completely unfamiliar.
I have never worried too much about whether I am a “traveller” or a “tourist.” I can enjoy a local bus, street food and an unplanned adventure, but I also love a comfortable hotel and a good breakfast buffet. Honestly, breakfast buffets are one of my favourite parts of travelling!
Along the way, I have worked at a ski resort in the mountains of Wyoming, driven on the opposite side of the road in New Zealand and lived in a small town in Germany without speaking German. Some experiences were exciting, others were challenging, but all of them taught me something and became part of my story.
